Bill Damaré, Vice President, Government Markets, ESI International, leads a team of more than 20 people dedicated to helping U.S. federal, state and local government agencies fulfill their missions. As a member of ESI’s Executive Management Team, he serves as the voice of our government clients at the highest level of the company.
With more than 20 years experience working in the government sector, Bill’s knowledge of government regulations, requirements and compliance standards makes him an invaluable advisor for ESI clients as well as a recognized expert. In addition to maintaining an aggressive speaking schedule, Bill serves as ESI’s government topics media spokesperson and has written for The Public Manager, PMI GOVSig Magazine and Government Technology as well as others.
During his tenure at ESI, Bill has helped clients overcome many barriers to achieving their missions. Working with the U.S. Department of Commerce, he helped guide a groundbreaking, OMB compliant business transformation initiative using enterprise architecture, capital planning and earned value management standards. At the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health he led a team that increased the agency’s PM capabilities by combining business analysis and IT project management skill-sets. At the U.S. Department of the Treasury he is helping the agency achieve and maintain both OMB and FAI guidance and certification mandates. In addition he has worked with the U.S. Navy, the U.S. Air Force, the U.S. Office of Management and Budget, NATO and Departments of Transportation in Michigan, Virginia and California.
Before joining ESI, Bill was Director of Sales, Alternate Channels at Océ USA, a global provider of digital document management and delivery services. In that role, he successfully expanded the distribution network for the company’s products and services in the United State and Canada. Earlier in his career he led commercial and government sales teams for the Eastman Kodak Company, where he worked in both the United States and Germany, with NATO, the U.S. Department of Defense as well as civilian agencies.
A member of the Project Management Institute (PMI
®), he has served as Education Co-Chair for the PMI
®’s Government Special Interest Group (GOVSig). He also is a member of the National Contract Management Association (NCMA).
Bill holds a Bachelor’s in Business Management from the University of Maryland, College Park as well as a Master’s Certificate in Project Management from the George Washington University, Washington.
