Personal Holidays

ESI International grants employees six personal holidays on an annual basis. For 2011, employees will receive four personal holidays on January 1; the two additional personal holidays will be credited on the first paychecks in April and July respectively.

Annual Leave

Full-time employees are credited with annual leave per pay period according to the following schedule.

Years of Service  Hours Accrued Per Pay Period  Days Accrued Per Year  Maximum Balance/Hours
Up to 2 years      4  12      96
2 to 5 years  5  15      120
More than 5 years, managers reporting to the president and a member of the management team  6.67  20  160

Sick Leave

All full-time employees are credited with 40 hours (5 days) of paid sick leave at the beginning of each calendar year. This amount is prorated for new hires (e.g., an employee starting work at ESI on July 1 would be credited with 20 hours of sick leave). Part-time employees do not receive sick leave.
Employees may accumulate sick leave and carry it over from year to year, up to a maximum amount of 200 hours. After 200 hours of accumulation, sick leave entitlement is no longer earned.

Other Leave for Full-Time Employees

Bereavement
In the event of a death in an employee's immediate family, any full time ESI employee may have time needed, up to five working days, with pay to handle family affairs. Members of the immediate family include spouses, domestic partners, parents, brothers, sisters, children, children of domestic partners, grandchildren, and grandparents.

Employees are eligible immediately upon hire for three (3) paid days of bereavement leave for the death of parents in-law, parents of domestic partners, siblings in-law, and siblings of domestic partners.
Employees are eligible immediately upon hire for one (1) paid day of bereavement leave for the death of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Jury Duty
Informa supports employees in fulfilling their civic responsibilities by serving jury duty. To that end, the Company will pay employees for their first three (3) days on jury duty. After the first 3 days, the Company will reimburse employees for the difference between their jury pay and their regular pay (not to exceed 8 hours per day), for a maximum of five (5) additional business days. On any day or half-day that an employee is not required to serve, he or she will be expected to return to work. In order to receive jury duty pay, employees must present a statement of jury service to their manager.
