ESI Federal Acquisition Workforce DAWIA and FAC-C Certification Courses

Get or Maintain DAWIA / FAC-C Certification

Whether you are a civilian agency or Department of Defense (DoD) contracting professional, you must attain certification for warranting and keep up with a rapidly changing acquisition environment.  Now that OMB/OFPP and the agencies have adopted the DAU certification requirements under the FAC-C program, the learning paths are similar.

Our Equivalency Curriculum is authorized by Defense Acquisition University (DAU). The equivalent courses are designed for DoD and civilian agency contracting professionals seeking to fulfill DAWIA certification and FAC-C program requirements, respectively.

The courses cover the entire FAC-C program from Levels I through III. You'll be eligible to receive DAI Equivalency or FAC-C credit as long as you meet DAU's standard 80% passing grade requirement on the course exam or the instructor’s evaluation of student performance where an exam is not applicable to the course.

DAWIA / FAC-C Elective Continuing Education Courses

The DAWIA and FAC-C certification programs require elective courses for certification qualification and 80 hours of continuing education training every two years to maintain the certification. ESI has more than 40 additional contract management training courses that meet those requirements.

Please note that the DAU course equivalencies were granted based upon specific course materials, delivery agendas and course durations. Therefore, courses that are customized may or may not be eligible for equivalency.

Obtaining Your Formal DAWIA and FAC-C Certification

Once formal education, career work experience and certification curriculum requirements (DAWIA and FAC-C) are met, DoD employees should visit the DAU Web site for instructions; and civilian agency employees should check with their agency’s Acquisition Career Manager for information necessary to apply for certification.
