This course is designed for all federal employees who need to better understand the CPIC process, contribute data to the Exhibit 300 or actually prepare the Exhibit 300. It provides you with valuable insight into the importance of the President’s Management Agenda and the link to your agency’s strategic and IT capital plan. Through a hands-on case study, you will learn to recognize the significance of an investment’s total estimated life cycle costs. This course offers you hands-on practice in the EVM processes and EVM metrics, including Estimates at Completion (EAC), as well as an overview of the EVM process from project development to execution. You’ll also learn EVM skills through exercises and a multi-part case study that takes you from EVM project baseline formation at the beginning of the project, through the challenges of ongoing assessments and reassessments of cost, schedule and performance to the project changes.
