GSA's Public Buildings Service
ESI International was awarded a Silver Learning in Practice Award by Chief Learning Officer Magazine in the category of Excellence in Content for a customized program designed in collaboration with the General Service Administration’s (GSA) Public Buildings Service (PBS).
USAF Air Combat Command
In the late-1990s, the U.S. Air Force Air Combat Command Acquisition Management and Integration Center (ACC AMIC) wanted to improve the capabilities of its acquisition team and break down perceived silos between various technical areas. As an initial effort, they wanted to focus on training civilian and military technical experts in contract management and project management. The learning program needed to be appropriate for military personnel, who rotate through the team approximately every 24-36 months. It also needed to address the reality that technical military team members arrive with varying levels of contract and project management knowledge, experience and skills.
US Census Bureau
Convinced that improving project management was the key to its future success, U.S. Census Bureau leaders tapped ESI to help develop a tailored training program to teach skills that could be adapted and applied to the real-life projects that the organization deals with every day.
National Industries for the Blind
In June 2010, NIB was awarded an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for CMS closeout support services with the Department of Defense (DoD). While NIB candidates for employment with the CMS program have college or advanced degrees, none had specialized knowledge in contract management that support services require. NIB had to move quickly to prepare their CMS employee candidates for the complexities of federal contracting processes and regulations.
LA County Department
After receiving a large funding increase, the LA County Department of Mental Health (DMH) was inundated with requests for new IT projects. To meet this challenge, DMH's CIO selected ESI to provide staff with the formal training and consistent methodologies required for success.
New York State Office of the State Comptroller
The New York State Office of the State Comptroller (NYSOSC) serves as the state's chief fiscal and accounting office. Recognizing the importance of maintaining its own project management and business analysis capabilities, the NYSOSC sought to establish a Business Analysis Center of Excellence after building a reputation through its Project Management Center of Excellence.
