Business Skills
The Professional Certificate in Business Skills recognizes technical or specialized professionals who have completed ESI's Business Skills Training Program and mastered essential business competencies like critical thinking, financial decision making and high-impact communications. This valuable certificate from ESI and The George Washington University School of Business (GW) demonstrates not only your knowledge of business skills, but your dedication to personal and professional success.
Backed by GW in Washington, D.C., this professional certificate is recognized throughout the industry and distinguishes technical and specialized professionals from their peers.
Requirements
To earn a Professional Certificate in Business Skills, you must successfully complete five courses within four years.
Courses may be applied toward only one master’s or professional certificate. You must adhere to the restrictions noted on the course pages.
Course Order
Each course in the Business Skills curriculum builds upon skills learned in previous courses.
If you are new to business skills, you may choose to start by taking Establishing a Business Mindset.
Additional Credentials
If you are pursuing a Master's Certificate in Project Management or Information Technology Project Management, you may complete two business skills courses as your electives. If you are pursuing a Professional Certificate in Business Analysis, you may complete one business skills course as your elective.
Attending ESI's business skills courses is an excellent way to earn PDUs to maintain your PMP® certification from PMI®.
PMP is a certification mark of the Project Management Institute, Inc. and is registered in the United States and other nations.

Through its partnership with GW, ESI courses lead to master's certification in program management, project management and contracting and professional certification in business analysis and business skills. The master's and professional’s certificates are professional credentials that represent the attainment of advanced knowledge and skills. The program does not carry academic credit.
