Associate's Certificate in Contract Management

Associate's Certificate
in Contract Management

An Associate’s Certificate in Contract Management provides an introduction to contract management and is appropriate for anyone needing a basic working knowledge of the subject. Professionals who want to demonstrate their commitment to professional development in contracting may take classes related to their specific interests and needs, as this new program is extremely flexible.

Backed by The George Washington University School of Business in Washington, DC, this certificate is ideal for contract managers, contract administrators, commercial contractors, those new to contracting, professionals from other areas who work with contracts and acquisitions or anyone seeking basic professional development in contract management.

Requirements

The Associate's Certificate in Contract Management consists of three courses, which must be successfully completed within two years.

Take courses in any order, though, we recommend an introductory course first to become familiar with basic project management terminology and principles.

Note: All courses taken for the associate's certificate may be applied toward a master's certificate.

Suggested Certificate Paths

The associate's certificate is a highly flexible program designed to meet your specific needs. See examples of ways you can structure your courses for your associate's certificate.

Students successfully completing the courses as required will receive an associate's certificate by mail six to eight weeks after completion of the third qualifying course.
