Certificates and Academic Credits

Associate's Certificate

The Associate's Certificate in Project Management consists of three courses, which you can earn by taking ESI's e-Training courses.

Master's Certificate

ESI's e-Training offers all of the courses needed to earn a Master's Certificate in Project Management and courses that may be applied as electives toward the Master's Certificate in Information Technology Project Management.

PMBOK^® Guide

ESI's e-Training addresses the entire project management body of knowledge (PMBOK^® Guide) established by the Project Management Institute (PMI^®), and is a good preparation for PMI's Project Management Professional PMP^® exam. ESI also offers the online PMP^® Exam Preparation course to further sharpen students' skills.

ACE Credits

ESI's e-Training core courses have been recommended by the American Council on Education's College Credit Recommendation Program for two undergraduate credit hours. Please note: These credits only apply toward ESI's e-Training courses.

PDUs

Courses also qualify for Professional Development Units (PDUs), which are required to maintain PMP certification.

The Project Management Institute requires that a PMP^® earn 60 PDUs every three years in order to maintain certification. Attending ESI e-Training courses is an excellent means of earning PDUs. Each hour of scheduled online classroom participation qualifies for one PDU. The following PDUs are awarded for each e-Training course. Please note: these credits only apply toward ESI's e-Training courses.

The International Association for Continuing Education and Training awards CEUs for each of the ESI e-Training core project management courses (see list below). In addition, the PMP^® Exam preparation course earns CEUs. Please note: these credits only apply toward ESI's e-Training courses.

CEUs are used nationwide to maintain records of completion of organized post-secondary education. One CEU is granted for every 10 hours of online class participation. To earn CEUs and receive a certificate of completion, you must attend the entire class and pass the exam, where applicable.
