Time Off
Official Holidays
ESI is closed in observance of the following seven holidays:

Personal Holidays
Full-time employees receive 6 personal holidays per calendar year. You may take them at your discretion with prior approval from your supervisor. New hires can starting using their leave following completion of their 90 day introductory period.
Each full-time employee is credited with 2 personal days the second paycheck in January and July. The remaining 2 personal days are credited the first paycheck of April and October.
Unlike leave, unused personal holidays do not carry over to the next calendar year. Any unused personal holidays are lost upon resignation or involuntary termination and may not be taken during the last two weeks of employment.
Annual Leave
Full-time employees are credited with annual leave per pay period according to the following schedule.

Sick Leave
All full-time employees are credited with 40 hours (5 days) of paid sick leave at the beginning of each calendar year. This amount is prorated for new hires (e.g., an employee starting work at ESI on July 1 would be credited with 20 hours of sick leave). Part-time employees do not receive sick leave.
Employees may accumulate sick leave and carry it over from year to year, up to a maximum amount of 200 hours. After 200 hours of accumulation, sick leave entitlement is no longer earned.
Other Leave for Full-Time Employees
Bereavement
In the event of a death in an employee's immediate family, any full time ESI employee may have time needed, up to five working days, with pay to handle family affairs. Members of the immediate family include spouses, domestic partners, parents, brothers, sisters, children, children of domestic partners, grandchildren, and grandparents.
Employees are eligible immediately upon hire for three (3) paid days of bereavement leave for the death of parents in-law, parents of domestic partners, siblings in-law, and siblings of domestic partners.
Employees are eligible immediately upon hire for one (1) paid day of bereavement leave for the death of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Jury Duty
Informa supports employees in fulfilling their civic responsibilities by serving jury duty. To that end, the Company will pay employees for their first three (3) days on jury duty. After the first 3 days, the Company will reimburse employees for the difference between their jury pay and their regular pay (not to exceed 8 hours per day), for a maximum of five (5) additional business days. On any day or half-day that an employee is not required to serve, he or she will be expected to return to work. In order to receive jury duty pay, employees must present a statement of jury service to their manager.
