ESI International Partners with AchieveGlobal Hong Kong Ltd. to Offer Project Management Courses in Greater China

(ARLINGTON, VA - May 1, 2002) -- ESI International, the leading provider of project management and contract management training services, recently entered into an agreement with AchieveGlobal Hong Kong Ltd. (AchieveGlobal HK) to present ESI's project management and information technology project management courses in the People's Republic of China, the special administrative region of Hong Kong and Taiwan. AchieveGlobal HK, a franchise of AchieveGlobal (AG), a training company based in the United States, has been providing the AG programs in China for many years.

"This agreement provides us with a wonderful opportunity to extend our programs into the world's most populous nation and to provide Mandarin delivery of our courses," said ESI President Larry Seeley. "In today's global economy and in light of the fact that China has recently become a member of the WTO, we anticipate that the availability of ESI's courses in China will help companies increase their project success rate through expert project management methodologies and thereby help to strengthen their economy."

AchieveGlobal HK will offer ESI's project management courses in English and Mandarin, and the company is currently working on translating the ESI core project management curriculum into Mandarin. AchieveGlobal HK plans to deliver the first course, Managing Projects, within the next month. This course is the first of a complete project management program. After completing a specified course of study, participants may earn a Master's Certificate in Project Management awarded by ESI's academic partner, The George Washington University in Washington, DC, USA.

"We're excited about our agreement with ESI since their project management curriculum is the most comprehensive and well-known project management program available," said AchieveGlobal HK President James Fennessy. "Our extensive leadership and management courses, coupled with ESI's complete project management curriculum, enable us to offer the best and most comprehensive people and project management training solutions in this large market. The timing of our agreement with ESI could not be better as China's central government has identified project management as a critical competency for the country's long-term development. The upcoming 2008 Beijing Olympics is already dictating increased emphasis on effective project management, and we have started to gain significant interest from a number of large government departments and leading Chinese corporations."
