ESI and Pentacle Venture Academy to Develop Online Courses in Korean
(ARLINGTON, VA - Dec. 3, 2001) --ESI International, the leading provider of project management and contract management training services, has entered into a strategic alliance with Pentacle Venture Academy (PVA), a Republic of Korea corporation, to market Korean translations of ESI's online courses in 2002. The two companies will develop these courses using ESI's new online platform for its project management curriculum.
"ESI is very excited to partner with Pentacle Venture Academy in offering our project management courses in Korea," says ESI's President Larry Seeley. "Pentacle Venture Academy is an innovative and creative company, and together we will provide Korean companies with the proven tools and techniques they need to be competitive on both a national and global level. As the world's leader in Internet usage, Korea is poised to realize the substantial benefits offered by PVA and ESI in online learning."
Through this strategic alliance, PVA will license ESI's project management online courses for the Master's Certificate in Project Management awarded by ESI and its academic partner, The George Washington University. The online courses that PVA will translate into Korean include Risk Management; Project Leadership, Management and Communications; Managing Projects; Quality for Project Managers; Scheduling and Cost Control; Contracting for Project Managers and Project Management Applications. In addition, PVA will also convert ESI's renowned PMP® Exam Preparation online course into Korean.
"In the United States, project management training plays a central role in the government and in private industry including IT, construction, banking, distribution, electronics and aviation," explains Min-Soo Lim, CEO & President of PVA. "PVA and ESI will play a part to improve the competitiveness of Korean companies and public agencies, through training project managers and strengthening project management competencies."
ESI will begin a phased approach in 2002 for rolling out its project management courses in the new online platform. The first course PVA will begin translating into Korean is ESI's online PMP® Exam Preparation course. This course is targeted to make its Korean debut at the end of the first quarter of 2002.
