ESI's Julie Zinn to Serve on National Educational Accrediting Council

(ARLINGTON, VA - Jan. 19, 2000) --Julie Zinn, Director of Product Development for ESI International, has been appointed to the National Advisory Council for the American Council of Education's (ACE) College Credit Recommendation Service.

ACE's CREDIT program has evaluated and made credit recommendations for thousands of college-level courses offered by hundreds of organizations, including corporations, federal agencies, labor unions, and voluntary and professional associations. Zinn joins professionals from McDonald's Corp., Johns Hopkins University, the U.S. Postal Service and other prestigious organizations as well as a team of faculty members and administrators from accredited colleges and universities. Using stringent guidelines established by the ACE Commission of Education Credit and Credentials, the Advisory Council assesses the varied education and training courses offered by organizations and makes recommendations to 1,500 colleges and universities in North America to award a certain number of college credit hours.

Zinn joined ESI in September 1995 and currently directs the Product Development division responsible for development of ESI course materials, proposals and presentations.

She holds a bachelor's in music and a bachelor's in business from the University of Colorado at Boulder, an M.A. in education, with an emphasis on human resources development from The George Washington University and a training specialist certificate from The Georgetown University.
