International Institute of Business Analysis Leverages Mary Simpkins’ Expertise in Leading Global Organizations

(ARLINGTON, VA - May 13, 2005) -- ESI International, the leading provider of business analysis, project management and contract management training, today announced its vice president of marketing and communications, Mary Simpkins, has been appointed to the board of the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA). Simpkins has spent her career providing strategic oversight to global business operations such as ESI and MCI Telecommunications, and looks forward to providing that same leadership to the IIBA and its members.

"We’re excited to have Mary join the IIBA board," says Kathleen Barret, President of the IIBA. "Her years of experience in this business and deep knowledge of communications and marketing will be a vital asset to our association and our industry. We expect that her wisdom and leadership will facilitate the growth of the IIBA and will better serve our membership."

"As awareness of the need for requirements gathering and analysis intensifies, there inevitably is a surge in the demand for quality business analysts," said Simpkins. "Organizations in public and private sectors alike are recognizing these analysts are imperative for growth and sustainability. I am pleased to be part of the force that provides business analysts a network of resources to cultivate their talents."

The IIBA is an international not-for-profit professional association serving the growing field of business analysis. The IIBA vision includes the development and maintenance of standards for the practice of business analysis and for the certification of practitioners. It boasts an international membership of more than 650 business analysts from 8 countries and is headquartered in Toronto, Canada.

Simpkins has spent 15 years in the industry, joining ESI International in 1995. Simpkins oversees marketing and communications initiatives for ESI, managing the production, research and analysis, and specific marketing teams responsible for classroom training, e-training, on-site training and global client support. Prior to her career with ESI, Simpkins worked for MCI Telecommunications where she supported national sales and state and local government marketing initiatives.
