SUMMARY:
Based in the Washington, D.C. area, ESI International offers training in more than 65 locations worldwide. It is the leading provider of business analysis, project management and contract management training. On Thursday, June 9, 2005, ESI will host a celebratory event at the Hilton New York hotel as the company announces its New York office expansion. The luncheon seminar is for those interested in learning best practices for achieving project management success and will include a presentation from ESI’s Senior Vice President of Client Programs, Raed Haddad, and Ron Kempf, Director of Project Management Competency and Certification for HP Services. The seminar will focus on the challenges global organizations must overcome to be successful, and will provide key tactics for developing a “road map” for project success. By effectively implementing a comprehensive project management approach, ESI has helped many organizations thrive in the face of adversity.
How can you learn from their experiences? Is there a proven “road map” that you can follow to establish project management as a key competency in your organization? This presentation will define high-performing organizations from a project management perspective. It will also summarize the current challenges and recommended solutions based on ESI’s 25 years of experience with Fortune Global 500 companies and government agencies.
Haddad will present a project management improvement “road map” focusing on three areas —people, process and tools — including actual examples from work with various ESI clients. At least one tool in each area will be identified that can be implemented back on the job immediately.
Kempf will outline the approach that HP Services undertook to establish a worldwide project management profession. He will also highlight the lessons learned and key results that HP realized during their journey to better project management capabilities.
Project management professionals will learn:
- Best practices to implement project management in organizations
- Proven tools implemented by world-class organizations
- How HP Services established a worldwide project management profession
Media and industry analysts will take away:
- A more defined understanding of the project management issues affecting Fortune Global 500 organizations
- Discussions with HP and ESI executives who can speak to the status of the project management industry
- Insight into ESI’s global business strategy
