ESI Seeking Nominations for ESI International 2006 Contracting Award
ESI and NCMA to Award $5,000 to a Contracts Professional Who Made Significant Contributions to Acquisition Operations and Policies
(ARLINGTON, VA - November 15, 2005) -- ESI International, the leading provider of contract management, project management and business analysis training, is seeking nominations for the ESI International 2006 Contracting Award, sponsored by the National Contract Management Association (NCMA).
The ESI International 2006 Contracting Award recognizes a commercial or government contracting professional who has made noteworthy contributions to acquisition operations and policies. Such contributions may include: extraordinary business leadership or team participation in the design, development or execution of an acquisition program, project or contract; any single task that merits special recognition because of its contribution to meeting an acquisition’s cost, schedule and performance goals; or the development of a policy, regulation, data system or other task that significantly enhances the economy, efficiency and effectiveness of an organization’s acquisition system.
"The contracting professional’s job is all too often a thankless one," says John Elsey, president of ESI International. "We’re proud to once again acknowledge and reward a deserving member of the contracting community for the hard work and dedication he or she exhibits, and highlight the value that innovative, quality contracting can bring to any organization."
The award winner will receive a $5,000 cash prize from NCMA. Nominations are due to ESI by February 24, 2006, and the winner will be announced at NCMA World Congress 2006 in April.
