Defense Acquisition University (DAU)
Grants ESI Course CON 353 Equivalency

(ARLINGTON, VA – October 30, 2006) – ESI International, the leading provider of contract management, project management, sourcing management, business analysis and business skills training, is pleased to announce that the Defense Acquisition University (DAU) has issued ESI its authorization to present their course, Advanced Business Solutions in Contracting (CON 353), as an equivalency for DAU’s CON 353 course, Advanced Business Solutions for Mission Support.

CON 353, which runs for nine and a half days, is the single mandatory course required for the DOD's Level III Certification in Contracting under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). It has also been adopted by Federal Civilian Agencies under OMB's Federal Acquisition Certification in Contracting (FAC-C) program for Level III certification.

The authorization for CON 353 equivalency, combined with ESI's prior authorizations for CON 100, CON 110, CON 111, CON 112 and CON 120, makes ESI the only training provider authorized to provide equivalent training for all of DAU's new "Mission Oriented" Contracting curriculum courses that have been released to date.

“This is excellent news for both ESI and our clients in the government,” says John Elsey, President of ESI. “We have a long history of working hand-in-hand with the government to help their employees gain the essential training they need to work more efficiently, effectively and successfully. ESI looks forward to serving the United States federal government for many years to come.”
