ESI Offers Certified Business Analyst Credential

(ARLINGTON, VA - March 8, 2004) -- ESI International, the leading provider of business analysis, project management and contract management training, is pleased to announce its Certified Business Analyst credential. This new credential will be awarded to students who complete ESI's Business Analysis Professional Development Program.

The Business Analysis Professional Development Program, which was created by ESI's Canadian affiliate, CDI Education, consists of a series of courses focusing on the four pillars of business analysis: elicitation, analysis, validation and verification, and documentation of requirements. Upon completion of this program, students are awarded a Professional Certificate in Business Analysis from ESI and The George Washington University School of Business and Public Management, as well as the prestigious Certified Business Analyst (CBA) credential from ESI.

ESI's research has shown that the accurate development of requirements is a key factor in the ultimate success of projects. In a recent ESI survey, 82% of respondents identified incomplete requirements as one of the major challenges they face in managing projects.

"The Certified Business Analyst credential is an essential accreditation for business analysts, project managers and systems analysts in any industry," says Larry Seeley, President of ESI. "Projects are the lifeblood of any organization, but so many projects fail each year due to poorly developed or inaccurate requirements. ESI's training gives professionals the skills to develop, document and manage requirements early in the project life cycle. Professionals who earn the Certified Business Analyst credential will be able to demonstrate their commitment to the success of every project they undertake."

Three universities in the United States and Canada currently recognize ESI and CDI's business analysis curriculum: The George Washington University, Royal Roads University and McMaster University. To date, more than 100,000 professionals in the United States and Canada have taken one or more of these business analysis courses.
