Defense Acquisition University Partners with ESI International to Provide Project and Contract Management Training

(ARLINGTON, VA - March 15, 2001) -- ESI International, a leading provider of project management and contract management training services, announces its partnership with the Defense Acquisition University (DAU). With this partnership, ESI will provide Department of Defense (DoD) employees who attend or attended the DAU the opportunity to earn master’s certificates in project management or contract management from The George Washington University (GW). This is the first time that the DAU has partnered with a public vendor to offer continuous learning courses to its students and graduates of DAU courses.

"We’re very proud of our reputation in the public sector as a premier provider of project management and contract management training," says Larry Seeley, ESI President. "DAU’s decision to choose ESI’s classes as an add-on to their very extensive list of internal classes underlines our understanding of the training needs of federal government employees."

"I am very excited about the DAU’s partnership with ESI," says retired Air Force Brig. Gen. Frank J. Anderson Jr., President of DAU. "I will continue to encourage our students to take advantage of this opportunity to take classes from ESI and hopefully earn a master’s certificate. As a matter of fact, I can’t wait to register for a class myself. I look forward to building a strong relationship with ESI and expanding ESI’s role in providing top-notch training to our students in the future."

After completing a specified course of study that includes both DAU and ESI classes, in conjunction with a structured path of study for 11 career tracks from DAU, participants may earn a Master’s Certificate in Project Management, Information Technology Project Management, Government Contracting and Commercial Contract Management. The master’s certificates are awarded by ESI’s academic partner, The George Washington University in Washington, DC.
