ESI International Offers New Associate's Certificate in Project Management

(ARLINGTON, VA - May 6, 2002) --ESI International, the leading provider of project management and contract management training, has announced a new Associate's Certificate in Project Management, awarded in conjunction with their academic partner, The George Washington University in Washington, DC. This new credential provides an introduction to those professionals who require a less comprehensive approach to project management but who still want world-class training they can apply to any size or scope of project.

"Knowing the principles of project management is important for more than just project managers," says ESI President Larry Seeley. "Anyone who is new to project management or works with project professionals can benefit from understanding what it takes to make a project successful. We want to make sure that every professional has access to relevant, practical project management training, and this new associate's certificate gives them that training-with a university-approved credential to back it up."

ESI's Associate's Certificate in Project Management curriculum is flexible, so professionals can target the areas most critical for their jobs or career goals. To receive the certificate, professionals must complete three courses, one of which must come from ESI's introductory courses, in two years.

All courses taken for the associate's certificate may be applied toward one of ESI's project management master's certificates, also awarded by The George Washington University. The associate's certificate also complements the Project Management Institute's (PMI®) new Certified Associate in Project Management credential and begins to lay the groundwork for anyone seeking certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP®) from PMI®.

Complete information on this new certificate, the requirements and a listing of course descriptions and dates are available on ESI's Web site. Interested professionals may request a free catalog with complete information and course descriptions by visiting the Web site or by calling ESI's Customer Service Team at +1 (888) ESI-8884.
