Paul has responsibility for overall project & program management policies, process, training and tools for Merrill Lynch’s Global Technology Infrastructure (GTI) project and program management functions. GTI operates in over 10 major global locations in Asia, Europe and the Americas. In his 13 years at Merrill Lynch, Paul has held a number of project and program management positions within various technology and business areas.
His professional career also includes management positions within Financial Services with Prudential Financial and with Morgan Stanley. In the mid-1980s, Paul started his career designing and testing distribution center technology applications in New York City with Federated Department Stores. In the late 1980s and into the 90s, Paul was the General Manager of Gallagher Systems, Incorporated in Reston, VA.
In addition to his professional experience as a program and project manager, Paul has also served as a former US Naval Reserve Intelligence Officer (Lieutenant Commander) from the early 1990s until recently. Paul was mobilized for Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003 and again in 2004-05 where he served in various capacities with the Defense Intelligence Agency and the Office of Naval Intelligence.
Paul is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI) since 2001 and is currently pursuing the recently launched Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification.
